Parenting on The Spectrum, LLC

Support for parents navigating Autism

About me

Hey there!! I'm Kayla, the owner of Parenting on The Spectrum, LLC. I’m a late-diagnosed Autistic and ADHD mom raising a Level 2 autistic son, and he is the reason this business exists. His diagnosis didn’t just change our lives, it opened my eyes to how much families are expected to carry without real support, real advocacy, or real understanding.

I’ve spent over a decade in the behavioral health field and now serve as a Behavioral Consultant and Family Support Specialist. I also hold a Master’s degree in Psychology and continue to further my education so I can better support neurodivergent children and their families. But beyond credentials, I understand this world from lived experience. I’ve sat in the IEP meetings. I’ve navigated the therapies. I’ve felt the weight of advocating in rooms that weren’t built for our children.

My work is rooted in a trauma-informed, holistic approach that prioritizes nervous system safety, dignity, and regulation for both children and parents. I believe behavior is communication. I believe parents deserve to feel empowered, not intimidated. And I believe autistic children deserve support that honors who they are, not support that tries to change them.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, unseen, or unsure of your next step - I see you. And I built this space so you don’t have to navigate it alone.
